Darling Point
Located in Darling Point, this project consisted of the construction of a new basement level beneath an existing masonry building. Heritage streetscape requirements dictated that the masonry facade of this 2.5 storey duplex had to be kept and incorporated into the new building.
Utilising a combination of hand dug and machine drilled contiguous piles into sand and extensive temporary steel framing supports, this facade retention was successfully carried out in early 2009. The new concrete framed duplex, comprising permanent formwork concrete walls (AFS) is due for completion mid 2010.
