Located in Woollahra NSW, this private residence underwent alterations and additions including works to aheritage listed Billiards Room.
This timber framed, timber clad billiard room had previously been relocated from its original position many years ago during renovation works. The current alteration works included the restoration of this structure back to its original condition and relocating the whole structure (rotating through 90 degrees and moving some 10 metres) back to its original location. Foundation works for the new (original) position were required to be hand dug to avoid potential damage to the heritage listed tree overhead. A steel cradle was site fabricated beneath the billiard room. Access constraints required the use of a 50T crane to provide the 2 stage lift and relocation of the billiard room.
