The Anchorage - Port Stephens

This combined resort and marina was completed in 1992 at a cost, then, of approximately $25 milion dollars.

The development consists of 92 suites contained in several 2 level stand alone buildings.

A 90 berth marina incorporating a breakwater was constructed to house large yachts and fishing vessels up to 25 metres.

James Taylor & Associates provided all structural and civil design for the buildings, roads, breakwater and marina, including the relocation of 300,000sqm of dredged sand for building benches and harbour.  Design and documentation for marine works were carried out in conjunction with Geomarine, costal engineers.

Architects for the development were Wolski Lycenko and Brecknock.
