Docking System - Changi Airport

These mobile steel platforms consist of a 50 metre span,3 storey platform fuselage dock and a 7 level mobile tail dock to provide maintenance personnel access to new Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft for Singapore Airlines and Aircraft Support Industries. Design and verification carried out to British Standards. Docking system also included mobile nose dock structures (standalone and mobile portions of fuselage dock). 3D modelling of the structure incorporated complex hydraulic lifting and travelling components.
